Una, June 22: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Principal Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Naresh Chauhan, Director of the Information and Public Relations Department Rajiv Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Una Jatin Lal, and the District Public Relations Officer of Una—along with officials and staff of the Information and Public Relations Department and the executive committees of the Press Clubs of Una, Haroli, Bangana, Amb, and Gagret—have expressed deep grief over the passing of Smt. Barto Devi, mother of Rakesh Kumar Malhi, the Una district correspondent for the news channel Zee Punjab, Haryana, Himachal.
Smt. Barto Devi was 91 years old and had been battling age-related complications for a long time. She passed away early Monday morning. Subsequently, her last rites were performed on Monday at Sasan village in Una subdivision in accordance with full religious rituals.
