Jalandhar:- The event organized by the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee on International Women's Day left an indelible impression on the minds of the people. The event held at the Gandharva Sen Kochhar Memorial Theater began with the new composition 'Akhaan Vikh Jummi Baraf' by the well-known poet of Punjab, Surinder Rampuri, which was presented in a very emotional style by Rimplepreet Kaur Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala. The main speaker of the event, Baljit Kaur Bal, daughter of renowned poet Fatehjit, tied the time while speaking.
Each of her words was as if they were flowers and leaves in the flowerbeds, as if they had been embroidered. He said that on the occasion of International Women's Day, the voices coming from the graves of the murdered school girls of Iran, the cries of the girls thrown in the bushes and cradles are shaking us to recognize our duties, saying 'change this society'. Baljit Kaur Bal said in her address that in order for women to get their share of land and space, there is a need to build a mass-based women's movement with great wisdom.
Instead of considering a woman a beggar and limiting her to providing flour, pulses and free travel, she should be opened to create a society full of solidarity and self-respect and move forward. Baljit Kaur Bal was honored by the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee with a set of books and a bouquet of flowers. On the occasion of the honor, the leading storyteller and senior trustee of the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee, Prof. Waryam Singh Sandhu, said, "When Bal was speaking, it seemed as if she was writing a beautiful story. I will tell my stories from the heart of my colleague Fatehjit's daughter's speech.''
On the occasion, Committee President Kulwant Singh Sandhu, General Secretary Gurmeet Singh, Vice President Dr. Parminder, Assistant Secretary Prof. Gopal Buttar, Treasurer Sital Singh Sangha, Committee Members Prof. Waryam Singh Sandhu, Harvinder Bhandal, Prof. Tejinder Virli, Surinder Kumari Kochhar and leaders of mass democratic organizations were present. Actress Aarushi of Style Arts Association presented a lovely glimpse of a short play based on 'Moiyaan De Khat' written by the revolutionary woman Veerangana during World War II. Aarushi's performance captivated the audience. Director Neeraj Kaushik said on the occasion that the country memorial hall is a nursery for artists where they learn to examine the blossoming of new flowers.
