Ratia, 03 June: Employees working in cloth trade establishments in Ratia have shown unity by forming the "Kapda Worker Union Ratia". The union has urged shopkeepers to restart the tradition of a weekly holiday every Sunday, keeping the interests of the employees in mind.
Union members say that due to continuous work, employees do not get an opportunity to spend time with their families and children. A holiday once a week will not only relieve physical fatigue but also provide mental peace. Earlier, there was a tradition of keeping markets closed on Sundays in cities, which brought balance to both employees and businesses.
The union has appealed to cloth merchants and shop owners to grant Sunday holidays to employees working in all cloth shops starting this Sunday. The union believes that this initiative will boost the morale of the employees and improve their work efficiency. 
A large number of employees were present at this meeting, including Rinku Goyal, Lovely, Bablu, Pankaj, Bindra, Rinka Grover, Praveen, Deepa, Dalip, Guri Ratia, Kuldeep Hadoli, Gurdas, Vishnu, Deepu, Kammu Alika, Babu Madan, Pawan Taneja, Javed Khan, Ravi Hamjapur, Gori, Prem Khairpur, Rana, Raju Chandu, Jinder Alika, Kaka Kanaujia, Rinku Dhaliwal, NC Nagpur, Sahil Monga, and Gurpreet Nathwan. 
Union members expressed confidence that the Vyapar Mandal and cloth shopkeepers would sympathetically consider this demand for employee welfare and implement the Sunday holiday soon to provide relief to the employees.
