Hoshiarpur: Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Mandeep Kamal conducted a surprise inspection at the Civil Hospital and reviewed the health facilities. He was accompanied by Senior Medical Officer Hoshiarpur Dr. Navjot Singh, Dr. Neha Pal, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Ranjit Singh, District Group Education and Information Officer Tarsem Lal, Deputy Mass Media Officer Ravinder Jassal, and Madam Asha (Steno).
During the visit, he inspected the medicines and oxygen facilities being provided to patients in the emergency ward. He also inspected the laboratory, X-ray department, scanning room, ICTC center, physiotherapy department, pharmacy, maternity ward, ART center, outpatient services, wards, vaccination services, power backup, hospital manpower, cleanliness, and dialysis unit. He also spoke with patients about the health services provided by the hospital.
The Civil Surgeon issued instructions that special attention should be paid to cleanliness in the health institution, and that patients should have no difficulty obtaining medicines and lab tests. He specifically instructed all doctors to educate patients about various diseases.
He also reviewed the arrangements made for patient treatment and facilities, and encouraged the entire staff to work efficiently.
He emphasized that patients should be provided with all government facilities. He also emphasized that special attention should be paid to the elderly, young children, and pregnant women. They should ensure proper seating arrangements and adequate access to clean drinking water.
While inspecting the pharmacy, he directed that free medicines be made available to patients. He emphasized that medicines should be stocked before they become scarce so that patients do not face any difficulties.
