Hoshiarpur:- During the ‘Light and Sound Program’ organized by the Punjab Government to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the team of Civil Defence Hoshiarpur presented an excellent example of discipline, dedication and spirit of service as per the guidelines of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain.
Under the leadership of SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjit Kaur, Civil Defence volunteers made special arrangements to help the elderly, sick persons and the differently-abled in this historic event. They took them to the venue of the program in wheelchairs, which made all the spectators feel comfortable and respected. This act became a powerful symbol of the spirit of service and humanity.
101 volunteers contributed with commitment to the security and order of the program and ensured that the entire event was conducted peacefully, safely and in a smooth manner. All the volunteers performed their duties with great responsibility and diligence.
On this occasion, while the guidance and cooperation of District Commander, Punjab Home Guards-cum-Additional Controller Civil Defence Ravel Singh Randhawa and Company Commander Maninder Singh Hira were highly commendable, the team led by Deputy Chief Warden Pramod Sharma displayed the spirit of service, discipline and cooperation.
In the program, Kamal Kishore, Ishwar Bansal, Tarak Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, Pawan Sharma, Tarsvi Sharma, Karamjit Singh, Amarjit Singh, Vikas Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Ashwani Verma, Deepali Sharma, Geeta Rani, Sohan Kaur, Amit Sharma, Saurav Sharma, Munir Kumar, Sajal Sharma, Harsh, Sumit Gupta, Pranav Bansal, Nikhil Bassal, Reena Mehra, Jaswinder Kaur, Kapil Dev, Yogesh Ohri, Baldeep Kaur, Bhupinder, Kartik, Kaith, Deepak Parashar, Ishta, Sagar, Siddharth Vashishth, Piyush Kumar and other volunteers rendered excellent services.
