Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh):- Arunachal Pradesh Congress president Bosiram Siram has claimed that Chinese troops entered 40–50 kilometres inside Indian territory in Upper Subansiri district. He said Indian and Chinese troops were facing each other at several locations along the border, disrupting military patrols and the movement of local residents.

Citing information received from local residents, Siram claimed that clashes broke out between the two sides during the last week of July and that sticks were used.

Meanwhile, the Indian Army has dismissed as fake a viral video that claimed Chinese occupation of parts of Arunachal Pradesh. The Army said the video was created by manipulating footage from a press conference held in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, in October 2023.
