Sangrur/Bhawanigarh, October 24:- Narinder Kaur Bharaj, MLA from the Sangrur Assembly constituency, distributed ownership certificates under the ‘Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ scheme to residents of five villages: 512 in Kakra, 78 in Jaulian, 157 in Kaloudi, 131 in Deh Kalan and 124 in Rupahedi. Congratulating the beneficiary families on the occasion, she said that receiving ownership documents for one’s home was a moment of satisfaction and happiness for every family.

MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj said that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, was continuously working to fulfil people’s basic needs and ensure that government services reached them. She said the ‘Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ scheme was an important initiative to provide ownership documents to people living within the Lal Lakir boundaries of villages.

She said many families had been living in their homes for generations but faced difficulties because they did not possess ownership documents. The ownership certificates issued under this scheme provide such families with documentary proof of ownership of their residential properties. She said the government was making efforts to ensure that every eligible beneficiary received the benefits of the scheme.

Narinder Kaur Bharaj directed the concerned officials to prioritise pending work under the scheme and provide people with accurate information about the process, along with the necessary assistance. She also appealed to village panchayats to cooperate with the administration in identifying eligible families and ensuring that they received the scheme’s benefits.

The MLA said the overall development of villages in the Sangrur constituency and the resolution of people’s problems remained her priorities. She assured that efforts would continue to ensure the effective implementation of public-welfare schemes at the grassroots level.

Representatives of the panchayats of the concerned villages, Major Chatha, Sarpanch of Kakra; Mandeep Rupahedi; Darshan Kakra; Rashi Chhanna; Harpreet, Sarpanch; Bhupinder Kakra; and officials from various departments were present on the occasion.
