Una, September 16:- Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emerged as a centre of attraction among youth and Gen-G during the Anti-Chitta Walkathon organised in Una. The Chief Minister not only participated in the walkathon by walking shoulder to shoulder with the youth but also interacted with them informally and posed for selfies with them.
During the walkathon, the Chief Minister remained among children and youth for quite some time. He interacted with them, listened to their views and described their participation in the campaign against drugs as important. The Chief Minister’s informal and warm demeanour was appreciated by the youth.
In his address, the Chief Minister said that Gen-G and youth had the most important role to play in the fight against Chitta. It was not possible to stop the growing threat of Chitta without the cooperation of the youth. He called upon young people to prevent their friends and companions from falling into the trap of drugs and help them come out of it.
The Chief Minister said that the fight against drugs was not only the responsibility of the government or the police, but the active participation of every section of society, particularly the youth, was essential.
During the walkathon, young people and children appeared highly excited to have the Chief Minister among them. There was considerable enthusiasm among the youth to interact with the Chief Minister and take selfies with him. The youth appreciated his informal behaviour and the manner in which he walked and interacted with them.
