Ferozepur/Mamdot, 24 August:- The formal inauguration of the sports ground prepared by the Punjab Government at village Lakho Ke Behram with the aim of connecting children and youth with sports was done by MLA of Guru Har Sahai constituency Fauja Singh Sarari. On this occasion, the villagers, Gram Panchayat and sports lovers welcomed MLA Sarari.
Addressing on this occasion, MLA Fauja Singh Sarari said that continuous efforts are being made by the Punjab Government to connect the youth of the state with sports. The purpose of getting sports grounds prepared in villages is to motivate the youth towards healthy and constructive activities, so that they can stay away from drugs and other social evils and make their future bright.
The MLA appealed to the youth to channelize their energy in the right direction, show their strength in the sports grounds and bring glory to the village and Punjab in the field of sports. He said that sports, along with the physical development of the youth, inculcate discipline, hard work, team spirit and the spirit of winning in them.
Fauja Singh Sarari said that the Punjab Government is committed to the development of the state and no shortage of money will be allowed to come in the way of development works. Along with strengthening basic facilities in villages, special attention is also being given to providing sports facilities for the youth.
He said that with the construction of sports grounds in villages, youth will get an opportunity to hone their talent and in the coming time, national and international level players can be prepared from these very grounds.
On this occasion, under the leadership of Gram Panchayat and Sarpanch Balwinder Singh Ladi, villagers thanked the Punjab Government and MLA Fauja Singh Sarari for getting the sports ground constructed. The villagers said that with the construction of the sports ground, children and youth have got a suitable place for sports, which will further boost sports activities in the village.
During this, MLA Sarari invited the youth to give up drugs and other evils and make sports a part of their life. He said that healthy youth are the foundation of a healthy and strong Punjab. On this occasion, entire Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, Members Charanjit Singh, Sandeep Singh, Satpal Singh, Gurjit Singh, Sarpanch of Patti Lyallpur Bhupinder Singh Bhinda and other respectable persons were present.
