Karnal, July 22: Prof. Suresh Malhotra, Vice-Chancellor of Maharana Pratap Horticultural University (MHU), announced that two students from the institute were honored with the 'Samman Suman Award' by Chief Minister Nayab Saini during the 'Yuva Samvad' (Youth Dialogue) and tree plantation ceremony—a moment of great pride for MHU. He remarked that the institute's students are consistently demonstrating their exceptional talent.
He stated that an environmental awareness training camp, along with the 'Yuva Samvad' and tree plantation program, is being organized from July 20 to 23; two MHU students, Deepika and Shritesh, delivered outstanding performances during the event, leading to their recognition by the Chief Minister. Both students also had the opportunity to interact directly with Chief Minister Nayab Saini.
This program is an innovative initiative by the Haryana Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, aimed at fostering leadership qualities, civic responsibility, environmental conservation, and meaningful participation in good governance among the youth.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Suresh Malhotra stated that this state-level honor serves as a testament to the university's commitment to leadership development, innovation, and social responsibility. Commending the Director of Student Welfare, Prof. Ranjan Gupta, he noted that the formation of the university's Youth Welfare Committee enabled MHU students to brilliantly showcase their talent and leadership capabilities at the state level.
