Zirakpur, June 14:- To ensure registration of maximum eligible women under the Punjab Government’s public welfare scheme “Chief Minister Mother-Daughter Satkar Yojana”, the constituency MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa participated in the ongoing training of women Satkar Sakhis at Zirakpur and appealed to them to speed up the registration process.
MLA Randhawa said that the Punjab Government will release financial assistance to the beneficiaries of the scheme from July 1. Therefore, it should be ensured that no eligible woman of Dera Bassi constituency is deprived of the benefits of this scheme. He said that under the scheme, every eligible woman will be provided financial assistance of Rs. 1000 per month and women belonging to Scheduled Castes will be provided financial assistance of Rs. 1500 per month.
During the training, MLA Randhawa motivated the female Satkar Sakhis to go door to door to register eligible women, get Aadhaar card linked, update bank account information, verify voter card and help in preparing necessary documents. He said that Satkar Sakhis will play an important role in taking this scheme to every door.
MLA Randhawa said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to the empowerment and economic strength of women. This scheme will not only make women economically strong but will also increase their respect.
He said that eligible women of 18 years of age or above, who have a valid Aadhaar card and voter card, can take advantage of this scheme. He assured the Satkar Sakhis that all possible support will be provided to them to successfully discharge the responsibility entrusted to them.
