Chandigarh, November 4 - Shri Krishna Kumar Bedi, member of the invitation committee formed for the state-level program of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to be held in Kurukshetra on the 350th Martyrdom Day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Cabinet Minister of Haryana Government, today reached Patna Sahib Gurudwara.
On this occasion, Shri Krishna Bedi paid obeisance at Shri Patna Sahib Gurudwara and met the Jathedar there, Gianadi Baldev Singh Ji. He handed over a formal invitation to the Jathedar to attend this historic program to be organized on the occasion of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's visit to Kurukshetra. He also met other members of the management committee and invited them to come to Kurukshetra on this religious and historical occasion.
On this occasion, Shri Krishna Kumar Bedi said that the sacrifice of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is a symbol of the protection of humanity, religion and truth. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, this sacred occasion is being celebrated with devotion and respect throughout the country. We are proud that a state-level function is being organized in Kurukshetra, Haryana in the presence of the Prime Minister on this historic martyrdom day.
He said that a special invitation committee has been formed to personally invite the Jathedar, Management Board of Shri Akal Takht Sahib and other prominent saints and great men of the Sikh community. This committee is visiting other Sikh Takhts across the country including Shri Akal Takht Sahib and inviting all the religious lovers to join this program.
Mr. Bedi said that the teachings of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji even today inspire the society to follow the path of truth, renunciation and humanity. This program of the Prime Minister is dedicated to the Guru tradition and the spiritual unity of the country.
