Haroli/Una, June 13 (Rajveer Chopra): Thieves targeted a house in Ward No. 3 of Nangal Kalan, located in the Tahliwal industrial area, and committed a burglary last night. According to reports, the thieves entered the house by ripping out a window grille and searched through two rooms. They broke the latch of a storage chest in one room, scattered its contents, and fled with gold jewelry. The stolen items reportedly include two gold chains, two gold nose rings, four gold rings, one anklet, 20 silver coins, and eight silver bangles.
It is reported that the family members were sleeping in an adjoining room at the time of the incident. They discovered the theft upon waking up in the morning and seeing the belongings scattered across the rooms. The incident was subsequently reported to the Tahliwal police station around 6:00 AM.
The burglary took place at the home of Nirmal Singh. Upon receiving the information, the Tahliwal police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.
The police have registered a case against unknown thieves and have begun examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras.
A police team led by Head Constable Paramjit Singh from the Tahliwal police station inspected the crime scene and collected evidence; the investigation is ongoing. The police stated that efforts are underway to identify the accused based on CCTV footage and other clues.
