Haroli/Una, March 31 (Rajveer Chopra):- Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) successfully organized the ‘PNG Drive 2.0’ program in the village of Beetan, located in the Haroli region. The primary objective of this campaign was to raise awareness regarding Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in rural areas and to educate the public about its various benefits.
The program was organized under the leadership of BPCL’s Territory Manager, Mayur Chaubatia. On this occasion, Haroli Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Vishal Sharma attended as the Chief Guest, while Rajiv Sharma, Controller of the District Food and Civil Supplies Department, participated as a Special Guest.
During the event, BPCL representatives provided the villagers with detailed information regarding the benefits of PNG through a video presentation. It was highlighted that PNG is a safe, economical, and eco-friendly fuel that offers greater convenience compared to traditional fuels.
Representatives from the Panchayats of neighboring villages—Singa, Tahliwal, Beetan, and Bathu—also participated in the event. Addressing the villagers in the local dialect, SDM Vishal Sharma described PNG as the "clean energy of the future" and appealed to the community to adopt it. He stated that adopting PNG would not only contribute to environmental conservation but also provide relief from various fuel-related challenges.
BPCL also set up a registration camp at the venue, where people were provided with detailed information regarding the procedure for obtaining a PNG connection. A large number of villagers attended the program, and many expressed keen interest in registering on the spot.
Highlighting the issues associated with LPG, DFSC Rajiv Sharma remarked that PNG serves as a sustainable and convenient alternative that can offer significant relief from gas-related crises.
By the conclusion of the program, a palpable sense of enthusiasm regarding PNG was evident among the villagers, and a large number of people expressed their desire to adopt this clean energy source.
