Chandigarh: BJP candidate Sukhdeep Kaur, who is contesting the municipal corporation elections from Ballomajra village (Ward No. 47) in Mohali, has accused the Mohali administration and police of using force and working under the government during the election results. Sukhdeep Kaur, while accusing the Mohali administration and police, said that during the election results announced on May 29, she was declared a loser by one vote to AAP candidate Parminder Kaur.
Out of 1,624 votes polled, she got 424, while Parminder Kaur got 425 and was declared the winner. She raised objections to the counting process with SDM Damandeep Kaur, Shaminder Singh and others. However, Damanpreet Kaur ignored her request and called the police and threw her out of the hall. They created a huge ruckus and protested against the tyranny of the administration and the police force, but no solution was found.
Sukhdeep Kaur said that the tyranny of the government was so severe that they refused to even think of getting the winning candidate to sign the winning certificate given to him. She said that these municipal elections were full of arrogance and hooliganism on the part of the government. The AAP government left no stone unturned to ensure the victory of its candidates. The government received the full support of the local administration and the police force.
She demanded that fair elections be held again in her ward so that only the right and suitable candidate could win.
