Karnal, July 14: In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's arrival in Haryana, Municipal Corporation Karnal has intensified the 'Swachhta se Swagat' campaign. On Tuesday, a special cleaning campaign was conducted in Ward-2, 6, 11 and 16, in which public representatives, corporation officers and local citizens donated labor for cleaning and planting trees. In village Budakheda, the Garbage Vulnerable Point was eliminated and an attractive painting was also made there with the message of cleanliness.
Mayor Renu Bala Gupta appealed to citizens for active participation in Swachhta Abhiyan and said that it is everyone's responsibility to make Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan a people-to-people movement. At the same time, Corporation Commissioner Saloni Sharma said that a special cleanliness campaign will be conducted in four wards at 8 am every day till July 18, in which the participation of ward committees, RWAs and social organizations has also been ensured.
