Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 16:- Under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Varun Sharma, IPS, SP Shri Navreet Singh Virk, SP (H) cum DCPO, SAS Nagar, and SP Traffic Shri Ramandeep Singh, an awareness seminar was organised by the Traffic Education Cell and Sanjh Kendra In-charge City-1, ASI Janak Raj, under the leadership of DSP Shri Karnail Singh, at Guru Gobind Singh Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Ratwara Sahib, for teachers and students on traffic rules, the harmful effects of drugs, Yuva Sanjh and facilities provided by Sanjh Kendras.
During the seminar, students were motivated not to drive vehicles while underage and without a driving licence. They were informed that both boys and girls must wear helmets while riding two-wheelers and should not use mobile phones while driving.
On the occasion, students were also made aware of calling helpline number 112 for police assistance and 1930 for matters related to cybercrime.
In addition, students were motivated to stay away from drugs, strictly follow traffic rules and fulfil their responsibility towards society as responsible citizens.
