Una, November 17 – A tehsil-level awareness camp was organized today in Gram Panchayat Raisari under the Social Justice and Empowerment Department. The purpose of this camp was to disseminate information regarding the provisions of the Civil Rights (Protection of Civil Rights) Act, 1955, and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
At the camp, Tehsil Welfare Officer, Una, Jitendra Sharma, provided detailed information about various welfare schemes run by the department. He provided detailed information about the Empowerment Program for Persons with Disabilities, Disability Relief Allowance, Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme, Disability Marriage Grant, Scholarship Schemes, Skill Development Program, National Trust, UDID Card, Self-Employment Loan, Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, Housing Grant, Inter-Caste Marriage Award Scheme, National Family Assistance Scheme, etc.
He also urged all pensioners to complete their e-KYC on time. Apart from this, Advocate Sumedha Sharma and Advocate Praveen Chaudhary from District Legal Services Authority Una made the people present aware about the rights and facilities available under various Acts and Rules including the Parental Maintenance Act.
Around 105 citizens including Pradhan, Up-Pradhan, all ward members, Anganwadi workers of Gram Panchayat Raisari participated in the camp.
