Chandigarh, May 29:- The Haryana government has included an important service related to approval for construction of borewells for groundwater use under the 'Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014'.
According to a notification issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, the service of granting No Objection Certificate or approval for construction of borewells for groundwater use by the Haryana Water Resources Authority will now be made available within the specified time.
The notification has fixed a time limit of 45 days for this service. Under this, the concerned authority will have to issue No Objection Certificate or approval within 45 days after receiving the request.
According to the notification, the Chief Technical Officer has been appointed as the designated officer for this service. At the same time, the Chief Hydrologist has been designated as the first Grievance Redressal Authority and the Chief Executive Officer as the second Grievance Redressal Authority.
