Bathinda, June 4: The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, New Delhi, is set to honor meritorious children across the country with the 'Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar.' Children between the ages of 6 and 18 can apply for this honor.
Providing this information, Deputy Commissioner Shri Rajesh Dhiman stated that this award is intended for children who have shown bravery by working for others, are role models for other children, or have made an impact in the fields of sports, social service, science and technology, environment, or arts. Any child who is a citizen of India and is between 6 and 18 years of age is eligible for this award.
District Program Officer, Bathinda, Shri Pankaj Kumar, informed that to nominate such children, applications must be submitted on the online portal http://awards.gov.in by July 31, 2026. Information regarding this should also be provided to the District Child Protection Unit, Bathinda (Mini Secretariat, Second Floor, Room No. 313 M, Phone No: 0164-2214480), so that the information can be forwarded to the Directorate, Department of Social Security and Women and Child Development, Punjab, Chandigarh.
