Hoshiarpur:- On the occasion of the Foundation Day of Eye Donation Association Hoshiarpur, an awareness seminar was organized at Smt. Urmila Devi Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Khadka (Hoshiarpur) today.
The College Management Committee, faculty, students and members of Eye Donation Association were present on the occasion. The main objective of the program was to spread awareness about eye donation and motivate the youth to join social service work.
The Chairman of Eye Donation Association Prof. Bahadur Singh Sunet, while sharing his views on the topic “Role of Youth in Social Activities”, appealed to the youth to come forward to serve humanity.
General Secretary Mr. Baljit Singh gave information about the activities and achievements of the association and motivated the students to join the eye donation campaign. Member of the association Mr. Onkar Singh Dhami also encouraged the students to participate in social services.
On this occasion, Mr. Jasdev Singh Walia, Vice Chairman, Smt. Urmila Devi Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital was honored for his contribution to social and human services.
The seminar concluded with an appeal to the students to take a pledge for eye donation and actively participate in social welfare works.
