Hisar:- The Akhil Bharatiya Agarwal Maitri Sangh is set to host a grand celebration of "Agra Samaj Foundation Day" on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Circus Ground, Sector-17, Chandigarh. This marks the second time in the community's glorious 5,143-year-old tradition that such a magnificent event is being organized. Immense enthusiasm regarding the program is currently palpable within the Agra Samaj community.
Providing details about the event, Vipin Goyal—General Secretary of the Haryana State Unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Agarwal Sammelan—stated that this gathering is being organized with the specific objective of disseminating the inspiring message of Maharaja Agrasen's ideal, "One Brick, One Rupee," to every single person.
This day commemorates the historic moment when Maharaja Agrasen renounced the Kshatriya *varna* (social order) to embrace the Vaishya *varna*. Agra brethren from across the country, accompanied by their families, are expected to gather to participate in this momentous occasion. Mr. Goyal further informed that the revered Pt. Vijay Shankar Mehta of Ujjain will share his insights as the keynote speaker at the event, while the sacred presence of Swami Sampurnanand Maharaj will further grace the proceedings. The Honorable Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, will attend as the Chief Guest, and the Honorable Regional Sanghchalak, Pawan Jindal, will preside over the program.
Asim Goyal—the chief organizer of the event and a former minister of Haryana—remarked that the Agra Samaj has consistently played a leading role in nation-building, social service, and fostering social harmony. He stated that this event will serve the dual purpose of uniting the community while simultaneously inspiring the younger generation to embrace the ideals of Maharaja Agrasen. Vipin Goyal added that Maharaja Agrasen bestowed upon society a profound message of equality, cooperation, brotherhood, and selfless service.
Today, there is a pressing need for the community to adopt these ideals, unite, and forge ahead together. This event is poised to prove a significant step toward fostering social unity and connecting the younger generation with their rich cultural heritage. Mr. Goyal appealed to all members of the Agra Samaj to attend in large numbers and help make this prestigious event a resounding success.
