Haroli/Una, April 21 (Rajveer Chopra): Amidst the ongoing protests regarding the liquor shop situated near the holy shrine of Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, the administration was finally compelled to yield to the outrage of the devotees. The Management Committee had announced a sit-in protest for April 22, 2026; however, in light of the escalating public opposition, the Excise Department permanently closed the liquor shop on April 21, 2026.
Excise Department officials took this decision following intense pressure from the Management Committee and the devotees. Various organizations—including Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Sabhas, Nihang Singh Jathebandis, and Sri Guru Ravidas Sabhas—also played a pivotal role in this process.

Following the closure of the liquor shop, the Management Committee has cancelled the sit-in protest that was scheduled for April 22, 2026. Expressing their heartfelt gratitude to all the devotees and organizations, the Committee has appealed to the public, stating that there is no longer any need to participate in further protests.
