SAS Nagar, June 28:- As per the directions of Punjab Chief Electoral Officer, Mrs. Anindita Mitra, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, Shri Amandeep Bansal, visited Government Elementary School, Khanpur (Kharar), where Polling Booth Nos. 195 to 198 are located, to review the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of electoral rolls.
During the visit, Shri Bansal interacted with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) as well as voters and reviewed the progress of the enumeration process. He appreciated the efforts of the BLOs and urged them to ensure that every eligible voter is covered during the revision exercise.
Addressing the voters, Shri Bansal said that the success of the Special Intensive Revision depends on the active cooperation of every elector. He appealed to citizens to extend full support to the Booth Level Officers so that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll.
He informed that the Special Intensive Revision-2026 commenced on June 25 and will continue till July 24. During this period, every elector is required to fill the Enumeration Form. While certain details have already been pre-filled in the form, voters are required to complete the remaining information, affix a recent passport-size photograph, and submit the duly filled form to the concerned Booth Level Officer within the stipulated timeline.
He reiterated that timely submission of the Enumeration Form will help ensure an accurate, inclusive and error-free electoral roll.
