Ambala, June 29:- An accident occurred on Monday morning near the Saini Majra Toll Plaza in Ambala when the staff deployed on a Police Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) was changing shifts in the morning. During the handover, while checking the revolver, the trigger was accidentally pressed, causing a gun to go off which hit EHC Jasbir, who was standing nearby. He was immediately admitted to the Civil Hospital in Ambala City in an injured state, where his treatment is currently underway.
According to the information, the incident took place around 8:00 AM when the ERV personnel were changing shifts near the Saini Majra toll plaza. After completing the night duty, EHC Jasbir handed over his official revolver to the in-charge of the morning shift as per the rules. 
As soon as the other in-charge took the weapon and began checking it, it went off accidentally. The bullet fired from the revolver pierced through the thumb and finger of EHC Jasbir, who was standing nearby, and passed through his thigh.
The sound of the gunshot created chaos at the scene. The injured Jasbir was immediately rushed to the Ambala City Civil Hospital via ERV, where his condition is stated to be out of danger. His treatment is ongoing.
