Hoshiarpur, July 30:- Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Hoshiarpur submitted a memorandum to the Assistant Commissioner, Hoshiarpur, in the name of the Governor of Punjab. Through the memorandum, while raising important issues related to the education system of Punjab, demands like continuous paper leaks, full implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), recruitment of permanent teachers, timely release of scholarships, restoration of student union elections, encouragement of research and innovation, drug-free campuses and employment-centric education were made.
On this occasion, ABVP Punjab Provincial Co-Minister Ankit Kundra said that the continuous paper leaks have broken the trust of lakhs of hardworking students and have exposed serious flaws in the examination system of Punjab. He said that despite repeated assurances from the government, students are still waiting for justice.
Ankit Kundra said that the paper leak cases sent to the Vigilance Bureau in the year 2022 are still pending. He questioned why no concrete result has come out in these cases despite the passage of so much time. He demanded that all the pending cases be investigated in a time-bound manner and strict action be taken against the culprits.
He also demanded a secure and transparent examination system, full implementation of NEP-2020, recruitment of permanent teachers, timely release of scholarships, restoration of student union elections, control over fees in educational institutions, establishment of career and placement cells and strengthening industry-education collaboration.
On this occasion, Ankit Kundra (Provincial Co-Minister, ABVP Punjab), Ritesh Sharma (Municipal Co-Minister, ABVP Hoshiarpur) and Abhishek Kumar (Unit Member, ABVP Hoshiarpur) along with other activists were present.
