Chandigarh- The immense enthusiasm of the workers was visible in the AAP workers meet held in Tarn Taran. This enthusiasm clearly reflects the results of the upcoming by-elections. The pro-people work of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's government has won the hearts of the people, and the people of Tarn Taran are expressing full faith in AAP and the Mann government for their bright future and a better tomorrow for their children. The workers believe that AAP will win this time too.
In the meeting, former MLA Harmeet Singh Sandhu was declared the AAP candidate for the Tarn Taran Vidhan Sabha by-elections. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann himself announced this and said that Sandhu is a popular and honest figure in the area. He said that if Sandhu is elected as an MLA, the pace of development works in Tarn Taran will double. Harmeet Sandhu has been a three-time MLA from Tarn Taran, winning in 2002 as an independent candidate and in 2007 and 2012 on a Shiromani Akali Dal ticket. He joined AAP in July.
The by-election is scheduled to be held on November 11, the results of which will be declared on November 14. The seat fell vacant due to the death of AAP MLA Dr. Kashmir Singh Sohal. During the roadshow, the Chief Minister said that due to the government's "people-oriented" and "development-oriented" policies, AAP will win by a landslide and the opposition's deposits will be forfeited. AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Aman Arora were also present on the occasion.
