Chandigarh, March 9:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini today accused the AAP government in Punjab of selective distribution of rations and said that the people there are fed up with the government of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and have made up their minds for a change of power in the upcoming elections. On this occasion, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Mr. Shyam Singh Rana was also present.
Mr. Naib Singh Saini was answering questions asked by journalists during a press conference in Chandigarh on Monday.
The AAP government in Punjab has made a provision for SC/ST in the budget. On the question of the announcement of giving Rs. 1500 to women belonging to the category and Rs. 1000 to other women, Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the AAP government is distributing rovadis with the upcoming assembly elections approaching, but this will not benefit his party because the people of Punjab have already made up their minds for a change of power. He said that whether there was a Congress government in Punjab earlier or the current AAP government, their history has been of releasing jumlas and distributing rovadis during elections. Mr. Saini took a jibe and said that former Delhi Chief Minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal also used to make people-pleasing announcements during elections, the same situation will happen to Bhagwant Mann's government in Punjab in the next assembly elections. He said that whenever the people of Punjab come to meet him, they tell him that the AAP government of Punjab is obstructing in providing the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat scheme launched by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. The eligible people are not getting the benefits of this scheme.
Mr. Naib Singh Saini also accused the Punjab government of disrupting the programs held during his recent visit to the state of Punjab. He said that when Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann comes to Haryana, he is given full respect and honor, respecting the protocol of his Chief Minister.
He accused the Punjab government of showing anti-women attitude by firing tear gas shells on women employees who were protesting for their rights on the occasion of International Women's Day, while the Haryana government has done the work of increasing their dignity by organizing a state-level function in Sirsa and sending them crores of rupees of various schemes through DBT.
He also surrounded Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on the issue of pension for the elderly and said that in Punjab, by setting the income limit of the elderly at Rs 60 thousand, the poor elderly are being deprived of this honorable allowance by insulting them, whereas in Haryana, this income limit is Rs 3 lakh so that maximum elderly can take advantage of this old age honorable allowance.
Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the people of Punjab are fed up with the AAP government and they have made up their mind to remove the current government and bring the BJP to power in the upcoming assembly elections. After that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, we will make Punjab the number one state in terms of development like Haryana.
He congratulated all the players of the team on India's victory in the T20 World Cup and wished them a bright future.
During his visit to West Bengal, Mr. Saini condemned the failure of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to respect the country's President, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, and said that she holds the highest office in the country, everyone should respect her.
