Ratia, November 20: Ratia's first tribute ceremony to Martyr Devendra Singh was held at the Government Senior Secondary School, Alavalwas, under the chairmanship of spokesperson Manjit Kaur Randhawa. On this occasion, the school staff and students paid tribute by offering flowers to the portrait of Shri Devendra Singh. A general knowledge competition based on the biography of Shri Devendra Singh was held at the ceremony.
The biography of Martyr Devendra Singh was presented by Komal, a tenth-grade student. In his address, English spokesperson Avtar Sharma said that the Martyr Davinder Singh Memorial Trust has been raising awareness among the public and students about Martyr Devendra Singh's humanitarian spirit and dedication to the nation through conscious awareness rallies.
Addressing the students, he said that we should not forget the sacrifices of the martyrs and should fulfill our duties with true devotion by becoming good, responsible citizens, and this is the true tribute to the martyrs.
Among the staff members who paid tribute on this occasion were Sunil Kumar, Pinku Sachdev, Raj Kumar, Amit Kumar, Ramdhari Singh, Ravi Mehta, Sangeeta Rani, Anita Rani, Sarla Devi, Ajanta Devi and other staff members.
