Haroli/Una, March 5 (Rajveer Chopra): A rangoli competition on the topic of "Drug Awareness and HIV/AIDS" was organized under the auspices of the Red Ribbon Club at Prof. Simmi Agnihotri College, Haroli, on Wednesday. The program was conducted by Red Ribbon Club coordinator Kalpana Sharma and club members Jyoti Sharma and Pawan Kumar.
A total of 36 students from nine groups enthusiastically participated in the competition, creating attractive rangolis depicting the ill effects of drug abuse and HIV/AIDS awareness.
The competition was judged by Mr. RS Dadwal, Captain Sonika Saini, and Dr. Shakuntala Devi Rana. College Principal Dr. Rajendra Kumar also visited the venue and praised the students' creativity and message of awareness.
Group 5 students Harshali, Payal, Aditi, and Kirti Rana won first place in the competition. Second place was jointly secured by Anjali, Jaspreet, Mehak, and Shreya from Group 2 and Tanushikha, Anju, Kajal, and Preet Kaur from Group 9.
Third place was jointly awarded to Diksha, Kavita, Sejal, and Richa, and the group of Tanya, Sunita, Vandana, and Payal. All other participating groups were honored with consolation prizes.
The college management emphasized that such activities are important for increasing social awareness among students.
