Derabassi, February 23:- Constituency MLA Mr. Kuljit Singh Randhawa inaugurated the work on a new tubewell to be installed by the Water Supply and Sewerage Board at a cost of approximately ?4.5 million in Ward No. 8, Village Saidpura, within the limits of the Derabassi Municipal Council.
This project will prove to be a permanent solution to the long-standing drinking water problem in the area.
On this occasion, MLA Randhawa stated that the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to accelerating the pace of development and strengthening infrastructure in Punjab. He stated that the government's core objective is "Sarbat Da Bhala," and providing clean drinking water, better roads, health, and education facilities to every section of the society is our priority.
He stated that development projects worth crores of rupees are being approved continuously in the Derabassi constituency, and work is visible on the ground in every ward. This tubewell project will not only strengthen the water supply but also ease the daily lives of the area's residents.
The city council president, ward in-charge, party block president, other senior leaders, local ward residents, society heads, and relevant officials were present. Residents expressed their gratitude to the MLA, saying that such development projects are giving Derabassi a new direction.
