Ratia, November 11 - To commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, a grand welcome will be held in Ratia on November 18th. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Surendra Singh held a meeting with the concerned officials and representatives of the Gurdwara Management Committees in his office regarding the arrival of this Kirtan Yatra. On this occasion, he reviewed the preparations for the Nagar Kirtan Yatra and issued necessary guidelines to the concerned departments.
He stated that the Nagar Kirtan Yatra will depart from Gurdwara Jhad Sahib on November 18th and will pass through Ayalki, Aharwan, Hamzapur, Gurdwara Ajitsar Sahib, and Sardulgarh Chowk before arriving at Gurdwara Shri Angitha Sahib in Nathwan village of Ratia, where it will stay overnight. In the meeting, SDM Surendra Singh directed various departments to complete all necessary preparations ahead of time for the successful organization of the Yatra.
He said that a special police force would be deployed for security during the Nagar Kirtan Yatra. The SDM directed the Municipal Corporation and Block Development Panchayat officials to maintain smooth sanitation work on all roads and sprinkle water on the roads, the Public Works Department to repair the roads and make arrangements for filling potholes, the Public Health Department to make arrangements for drinking water, the Fire Station officer to arrange for a fire brigade vehicle and the Electricity Department to make proper arrangements for lighting in the city.
DSP Nar Singh, Naib Tehsildar Vichitra Nand, Haryana Gurudwara Management Committee members Iqbal Singh Khokhar, Kaka Singh Ladhuwas, Gurmej Singh, Manager Virender Singh, Public Health SDO Anchal Jain, Health Inspector Rajesh Shyokand, Municipal Corporation Sanitation Incharge Omkar Singh, Electricity Department JE Amit Kumar, BDPO Narendra Singh etc were present in the meeting.
