Ratia, March 7th: On the occasion of the martyrdom day of immortal martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, the Mahashakti Charitable Trust will launch a decisive war against drug abuse. Expressing these views, the Trust's founder and president, Bhawani Singh, stated that the Trust will organize a "Drug De-addiction Maharashtrian Yatra" in Fatehabad on March 23rd, in which thousands of youth and villagers will participate.
An initiative to build the India of the martyrs' dreams: Bhawani Singh, Sharma Chand Lali, and Satpal Jindal shared the outline of this march during a meeting held at Maharaj Restaurant, Ratia. President Bhawani Singh stated that our martyrs dreamed of a strong and healthy India, but today drug abuse is ruining our young generation. This yatra is being organized to protest against this and to pay true tribute to the martyrs.
This massive yatra will pass through the main roads of Fatehabad and give the message to the society to unite against drug abuse. Sharma Chand Lali said that Martyrs' Day is a symbol of enthusiasm and passion. We want the youth to devote their energy to nation-building instead of wasting it on drugs. To ensure the yatra's success, trust teams will visit every village and connect the youth with this campaign. At the yatra's conclusion, the gathering will take a collective pledge to abstain from drugs and not allow others to do so.
The Mahashakti Charitable Trust in Ratia burned an effigy of rapper Badshah to protest obscenity and cultural disrespect. Under its aegis, a violent protest was held against the famous rapper Badshah in the local Palika Bazaar, where his effigy was burned. The protest was organized to protest the alleged obscene language used in Badshah's recently released song "Tattiri" and the filming of schoolgirls.
The protesters alleged that the song's lyrics and scenes violate social norms. In particular, the song's depiction of girls in school uniforms and the use of objectionable gestures are condemnable. Organization officials stated that protests against Badshah have already been held in several places, including Panchkula, Haryana, under Section 296 of the Indian Penal Code and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition). Speakers stated that society will not accept obscenity being promoted in the name of music. If the song is not immediately removed from digital platforms, the movement will be intensified.
Bhawani Singh, addressing the media, said: "Tampering with our culture and the mentality of the youth under the guise of art will not be tolerated. Artists like Badshah should understand their responsibility."
A special meeting was organized in Ratia, a major initiative of the Mahashakti Charitable Trust for a drug-free society. The meeting was attended enthusiastically by trust officials and local dignitaries. Presiding over the meeting, Bhawani Singh said that addiction not only destroys an individual, but also the entire family and society. The goal of the Mahashakti Charitable Trust is to make Ratia and the surrounding areas completely drug-free.
Sharma Chand Lali explained that drug abuse has devastated the youth in the Ratia area. Consequently, every day we see reports of youth dying from drug abuse or drug-related incidents in the media and markets. Therefore, every segment of society must step forward to help the youth overcome drug abuse. To make Fatehabad district drug-free, every segment of society must step forward to protect the social fabric that is deteriorating today.
Sharing his views on this occasion, Sharma Chand Lali stated that this fight against drug abuse is not just the Trust's responsibility, but that of every citizen. He appealed to villagers and youth to report drug dealers to the Mahashakti Charitable Trust and the administration, and to help bring victims into the mainstream. It was decided in the meeting that in the coming days, meetings and awareness camps will be organized in villages to motivate the youth towards sports and positive activities.
Many active social workers and farmer representatives from the area, including Sharma Chand Lali, Satpal Jindal, Paras Singla, Dr. Naib Singh Mander, Comrade Ajmer Singh, Gurpreet Singh Nain, Abhi Nehra, Pawan Singla, Baldev Kumar, Shiv Wadhwa, Ajay Kumar, Aman Verma, Gurdeep Ayalaki, Amrit Singh Bal, etc., participated in the meeting.
