Dhuri, February 23:- Giving a new direction to the development of Dhuri, today, Chairman Rajwant Singh Ghulli of the Market Committee Dhuri and Dr. Anwar Bhasaur, member of the Punjab Waqf Board, inaugurated a significant service road project, costing approximately ?10.76 crore, on both sides of the covered drain in the city.
This project extends approximately 14.25 kilometers within the limits of the Municipal Council Dhuri. It includes the Dhura village, M.C. Service roads will be constructed from the Limit to the Bagrian T-Point, from Jagatpura to Bardwal Road and Mansa Devi Temple Road, from the Sangrur Bypass to the Kakarwal Bridge, and from Walia Studio to the Truck Union. Under the project, interlock tiles will be laid on one side, while a paved road will be constructed on the other, ensuring smooth traffic flow and providing relief to the public.
On this occasion, Chairman Rajwant Singh Ghulli stated that this service road will prove to be a milestone for the city of Dhuri. He stated that this project will solve the long-standing problem of traffic congestion and provide great convenience to the city's traders, residents, and daily commuters. He stated that the government is continuously making efforts to strengthen urban infrastructure.
Present on this occasion were Punjab Waqf Board member Dr. Anwar Bhasaur, Director Small Industries Punjab Anil Mittal, Naresh Singla, Satinder Singh Chattha, MC Balwinder Singh, MC Pushpinder Sharma, MC Mani, Sukhpal Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Advocate Happy Garg, Sukhpal Singh Pala, Veerbhan and other local residents were present.
The residents expressed their happiness at the launch of this important project, saying it would further accelerate the development of Dhuri and significantly improve the traffic system.
