Ratia, November 21: A Chetna Sammelan dedicated to the 24th martyrdom day of Martyr Devinder Singh was organized at the Government Senior Secondary School, Kamana, under the chairmanship of Principal Jai Bhagwan. On this occasion, the school staff and students paid tribute by offering flowers before the martyr's photograph.
Deepak, a Class 12 student, presented the martyr's biography, explaining that he attained martyrdom on January 19, 2001, after killing two terrorists in the Kupwara region. On the 24th day of his martyrdom, we are remembering him at the Chetna Sammelan. Principal Jai Bhagwan, while addressing the gathering, said that we cannot forget the sacrifices of the martyrs.
On this occasion, the children raised awareness by raising slogans given by the Martyr Devinder Singh Memorial Trust: "Drive away drugs, save society" and "Save the environment, save life." Principal Jai Bhagwan, DPE Harvinder Singh, Anil Kumar, Anju Rani, Arita Rani and staff paid tribute in the function.
