Mathura (Uttar Pradesh):- A truck hit a stationary bus on the Yamuna Expressway early today, killing six people and seriously injuring one. The incident took place at 2:45 am in Surir police station area.
According to information, the bus going from Noida to Rasulabad in Kanpur stopped in the middle of the road when a passenger stopped the bus to urinate. Meanwhile, a speeding container truck coming from behind hit the bus from the side, killing six passengers on the spot.
The injured person was immediately admitted to the district hospital where his condition is said to be stable. After the accident, the drivers of both the bus and the truck fled from the spot. The police have registered a case and have started further investigation along with a search for the absconding drivers.
