Tahliwal/Haroli, February 11 (Narayan Prabhakar): Under the direction of District Police Captain Sachin, the Special Investigation Team of Una District Police is continuously tightening its grip on the drug mafia. Acting on a tip-off, the Special Investigation Branch team, led by Inspector Sunil Sankhyan, raided a youth's quarter in Nangalkalan Tahliwal and successfully seized 2.43 grams of heroin.
Preliminary investigation revealed the youth's name to be Rajat, son of Madan Lal, resident of village Sapori, Tehsil Amb, District Una. Foil paper used for smoking drug, burnt currency notes, and other items were also recovered from the room. District Captain Sachin stated that the young generation is risking their future by falling into the trap of drug dealers. All parents should step forward and help eradicate this evil practice.
The police are trying to find out from where the accused youth brought the consignment of drugs and with whom he has network in Una.
The Special Investigation Unit has registered a case and handed it over to the team of Police Station Tahliwal for further investigation. Superintendent of Police Sachin said that the district police is continuously working with vigilance and prudence against drug dealers and putting such people behind the bars.
