Mumbai/Varanasi:- A passenger tried to enter the cockpit area on an Air India Express flight from Bengaluru to Varanasi. The passenger went into the restricted area while looking for the toilet. The flight crew reported it to the police and when the flight landed, security forces detained the passenger and eight others and started an investigation into the matter. The airline today informed about the incident that the incident took place on September 22.
Air India Express said in a statement, "We received information on a flight to Varanasi that a passenger reached the cockpit entrance area while looking for the toilet. Air India crew followed the safety norms. SHO Parveen Kumar said that this passenger tried to open the cockpit area during the flight, which is being investigated by security forces and police.
