Hoshiarpur- Municipal Corporation Retired Employees Union organized a special program on the occasion of Lohri in the meeting hall of the Municipal Corporation today. This program was organized under the leadership of Mayor Surinder Kumar, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Joint Commissioner Sandeep Tiwari, MTP Lakhbir Singh, XEN Kuldeep Singh and Harpreet Singh. Apart from this, the patron of the union Sanjeev Arora, Chairman Kulwant Singh Saini and President Nachattar Lal along with other officials were present.
On this occasion, Sanjeev Arora welcomed the guests and the members of the union and wished them on the occasion of Lohri. He said that the union will give full cooperation in the awareness and cleanliness campaign being run by the Municipal Corporation and he assured the Mayor and the officials that wherever the corporation needs the union, all the members will cooperate unanimously. Apart from this, he emphasized on celebrating Lohri for girls as well as boys.
On this occasion, Chairman Kulwant Singh Saini also congratulated the girls on Lohri and gave information about the works and demands of the union. Chairman Nachattar Lal made the program more special by singing a song on Lohri for girls. On this occasion, Mayor Surinder Kumar thanked the union members and said that whenever many technical works get stuck, experience comes in handy and retired employees are our backbone and wherever the corporation feels the need, their services will be taken.
He also emphasized on celebrating Lohri for girls and giving them full rights. During this, the guests from the union were honored by presenting rose flowers. Balwinder Singh, Kewal Lal Heer, Harmesh Kumar, Sita Ram, Naresh Kumar, Madan Lal, Vijay, Dashrath Lal, Surjit Lal, Surjit Bahl, Ashwani Kumar, Lal Singh, Ashwani Kumar, Satish Kumar, Amarjit Singh, Harjinder Singh and Sushil Kumar were present on this occasion.
