Repair work of damaged roads in Patiala city continues on war footing: MLA Kohli

Patiala, November 14: Patiala MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli today inaugurated the construction of new roads and streets in Lahori Gate area to be built at a cost of Rs 66 lakh. On this occasion, he said that the construction of roads dug by L&T for laying pipes for 24x7 drinking water supply in Patiala city is now going on at war footing and will be completed very soon.

On this occasion, he said that the construction of roads dug by L&T for laying pipes for 24x7 drinking water supply in Patiala city is now going on at war footing and will be completed very soon.
Municipal Commissioner Dr. Rajat Oberoi, Joint Commissioner Deepjot Kaur and AXION Water Supply Vikas Dhawan were also present on this occasion. Ajitpal Singh Kohli said that the construction of new streets in Lahori Gate area at a cost of Rs 66 lakh has been started today. This will benefit a large number of residents of Lahori Gate including the residents of Division No. 4 near Chikan Wali Gali, Karkhas Colony, Mahajan Gali Chanan Dogra and Mahasyan Wali Gali.
He said that the streets of Lahori Gate area are being rebuilt after about 25 years. He said that although Patiala has been the center of power during the previous governments, the development of the city has been limited to big claims and no one has seen development in reality. On this occasion, the residents of the Mohalla thanked MLA Kohli. After this, the MLA held a meeting with the officials of L&T and Water Supply Department and reviewed the repair work of the broken roads. During the meeting, he instructed L&T to ensure that the work of the broken roads is completed immediately. He said that no kind of delay in the work will be tolerated. He said that the work of the road from Thikriwala Chowk to YPS Chowk will start from next week and the work at Ablowal will start within two days.
