Nawanshahr, December 10-Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria today launched the 'Nasha Mukt-Rangla Punjab Campaign' under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan from Khatkar Kalan, the native village of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh.

During this, he paid tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh and called upon the young generation to follow his thoughts and create a drug-free, healthy and progressive society. He said that this campaign is an important initiative to restore the rich cultural life of Punjab and ensure mutual brotherhood.
On this occasion, apart from offering floral garlands to the statue of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, he also offered floral tributes to the memorial of his father Sardar Kishan Singh. During this, he also visited the museum in the memorial. He said that he was very happy to come to the land of Khatkar Kalan. He said that today we are breathing in freedom only because of the sacrifices of the martyrs and we should always remember their sacrifice.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman honored them by presenting them with a magnificent memento on behalf of the district administration. SSP Dr. Mehtab Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Rajiv Verma, SDM Banga Vipin Bhandari and other officials were present on this occasion.
