In this regard, in the meeting of the organizations held here, it was decided to participate in the May Day program by going on a complete strike on the first of May.

Parveen Kumar Nirala, district president of Parvasi Majdoor Union of IFTU, Hare Ram, Harilal, district president of Rehri Workers Union addressed this meeting. The leaders said that the first day of May is the historical day of the working class, which is celebrated by the working class all over the world. This day is the most sacred day for the working class. He said that today there are many challenges before the working class. Which can be countered by getting the workers organized and with sharp struggles. The laborers have to struggle with inflation, unemployment and government oppression to make ends meet. On this day, it is urgent for us to mobilize against the exploitation of labor by corporates around the world. He invited the laborers from across the district to fully participate in this program of International Labor Day being celebrated by IFFTU at Bus Stand Nawanshahr.
