
Keep the public's attention - Under the TB-Free India Campaign, an important meeting was held at CHC Harta Badla

In which he informed the ANM, CHO, ASHA facilitators about the activities being carried out under the 100-day campaign in Block Harta Badla
Hoshiarpur- Senior Medical Officer Dr. Manpreet Singh Bains held a special meeting related to the 100-day campaign underway in the district under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program at the CHC Harta Badla office. In which he informed the ANM, CHO, ASHA facilitators about the activities being carried out under the 100-day campaign in Block Harta Badla during the month of December and issued guidelines to the ANM, CHO, ASHA facilitators about the activities to be carried out in the future. On this occasion, he said that the 100-day TB-free campaign was launched by the Health Department Punjab on 07 December 2024 to eradicate a serious disease like TB under the “National TB Control Program”. He said that the aim of this campaign is to examine and treat high-risk TB patients of the block because TB is no longer incurable. In the first phase of the campaign, people will be screened door to door and patients undergoing TB treatment will be identified and provided with complete treatment.
He said that tests and X-rays of suspected patients will be done free of cost. He instructed ASHA workers to make announcements regarding this campaign in religious institutions so that maximum people can be aware. He said that coordination should be made with village panchayats and educational institutions. Apart from this, special screening of the migratory population should be done by going to Sallam area.
Along with this, special attention should be paid to people suffering from diabetes and malnutrition, smokers and alcoholics, HIV infected and ex-TB patients. He said that with this campaign, we will take a big step towards the eradication of TB. He appealed to the health workers and the common people to actively cooperate in this campaign and said that the goal of this 100-day TB eradication can be achieved only with unity and dedication.
