Patiala, January 18 - Patiala Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni held a meeting with the officials to review the preparations for the state level event to be held on the occasion of the country's Republic Day on January 26 at Polo Ground. Additional Deputy Commissioner (c) Anuprita Johal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Navreet Kaur Sekhon, SP Harwant Kaur and other officials were also present on this occasion.
  Sakshi Sahni said that on the occasion of this national day, Governor of Punjab Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit will perform the ceremony of unfurling the national flag of the country and he will also give a message to the residents of the state. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the work being done by the committees formed for various tasks and ordered that the preparations for this event of national importance should be carried out as soon as possible and no negligence should be done. Sakshi Sahni directed all the officials and employees to attend the Polo Ground on the day of the event and also appealed to the district residents to actively participate in this Republic Day event.
During the meeting, SDM Dr Ismat Vijay Singh, EO PDA Deepjot Kaur, Assistant Commissioner State Tax Law Garg and other senior officials of various departments were present.
