Hoshiarpur - Secretary District Legal Services Authority-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate Aparajita Joshi visited Central Jail, Hoshiarpur. During this visit, the problems of deportees/prisoners were heard and the health status of the inmates of the jail hospital was known. The Central Jail registers were checked.
   Inmates' barracks were inspected in Central Jail, Hoshiarpur. Their problems were heard And regarding their solution, directions were given to the Deputy Superintendent of Jails that the data of the cases of the convicts/prisoners should be given to the District Legal Services Authority in time. So that in cases of detainees, bail can be sent to the respective courts for further action.
   Apart from this, instructions were given to the Deputy Superintendent of Jails to take care of the cleanliness of the barracks and the cleanliness of the bathrooms. It was also directed that regular counseling of the deportee patients lodged in the jail should be conducted from psychiatrist/psychological specialist counsellors. And in the monthly medical camp conducted by the District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur, check-up should be ensured for those convicts/prisoners who have any health related problems. Along with this, the food prepared in the kitchen (langar-hall) was also reviewed.
