Who wrote 24 valuable research books in his life and distributed them free to the readers l His elder son Jagdeep Singh Ruby was a Chief Engineer in America l Daughter Madhri A Singh won Arjana Award with international achievements in the field of athletics l Younger son Amandeep Singh Bains Saif is the Games 1500m record holder Granddaughter Harmilan Bains won two medals at the 2023 Asian Games to further enhance the family name. Similarly, Potra Shandeep has become the Punjab champion in 10m pistol shooting. Behind all these achievements is the special contribution of Bibi Gurmeet Kaur. He also continued to uphold the legacy set by Gianiji. It was in his nature to patronize literary, sports, social and cultural events and to congratulate creative thinkers. Believing in doing good to all and helping everyone in need was her whole life's work. Bibiji's footsteps will always inspire us.
He was born on 15th October 1937 to father Kirpal Singh and mother Sukhwant Kaur in village Rajowal district Hoshiarpur. He rendered excellent services in the education department for about 37 years and retired from the post of CHT in 1995. On the occasion of his last prayer at Gurudwara Dharamshala Mahilpur on December 25, representatives of religious, literary, cultural, political, sports and social organizations will offer flowers of respect.
