Farmers to use in situ and ex situ techniques for stubble management: Deputy Commissioner

Patiala, November 3 -Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni held a meeting with the Baler Association today to review the work of making straw bales in the district and on the strategy to speed up the work of making bales in the fields with ripening crops in the coming days. discussed Additional Deputy Commissioner Anupreeta Johal was also present on this occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner told the baler owners that the flood-affected crops in Patiala district will be ready in the next few days and these are the lands which are heavy and balers are the most successful for stubble management here, so these areas to be focused on in the coming days. She said that the farmers of the flood-affected areas have already faced difficulties, so they should not face any kind of problem while managing the stubble, so micro planning should be done for stubble management.
During the meeting, the baler association was told about the labor and the place for keeping the bales, on which the Deputy Commissioner, taking immediate action, directed the DDPO to solve the problem of the baler owners immediately and said that the district administration should provide assistance to the farmers, baler owners. And every possible help is being given to the straw utilization industry. He said that if anyone faces any problem, they should contact the SDM of the concerned area. Or else one can directly contact the Deputy Commissioner's office.
On this occasion, he appealed to the farmers and said that they should prefer to use in situ techniques for stubble management as it also increases the fertility of the land. He said that for heavy lands where ex situ technology is used, balers are being made available on a priority basis.
