Giving information about the meeting, State Press Secretary Dapinder Singh Dhillon Fazilka said that during the meeting, it was decided to meet the Punjab Education Minister and Education Secretary in the coming days regarding the important demands of the teaching class - restoration of old pension, ETT to HT, Master Cadre promotion, restoration of discontinued allowances, DA, shifting of additional teachers sent to the same school during new recruitment to single teacher schools, dismissal of transferred teachers and other demands.
He said that during the meeting, in order to further strengthen the organization in connection with the upcoming retirement of President Sukhdarshan Singh, the names of Pargatjit Singh Kishanpura for President, Tajinder Singh Mohali for General Secretary, Sukhdarshan Singh Bathinda for Patronage and Sukhjinder Singh Sathiala for Special Invitation Member were approved under the leadership of the committee based on the observer members Ravinder Singh Jalandhar, Harvinder Singh Barnala, Paramjit Duggal, Sartaj Singh Kapurthala appointed by the state committee.
