Traffic Police organizes awareness seminar on keeping students away from drugs and following traffic rules.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 29, 2025: As per the guidelines issued by Senior Superintendent of Police Harmandeep Singh Hans and Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Navneet Singh Mahal regarding awareness against drugs and traffic rules, a special seminar was organized by the Traffic Police of District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Karnail Singh at "Learning Paths School Sector-67", SAS Nagar to create awareness about keeping students away from drugs and following traffic rules.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 29, 2025: As per the guidelines issued by Senior Superintendent of Police Harmandeep Singh Hans and Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Navneet Singh Mahal regarding awareness against drugs and traffic rules, a special seminar was organized by the Traffic Police of District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Karnail Singh at "Learning Paths School Sector-67", SAS Nagar to create awareness about keeping students away from drugs and following traffic rules.
According to DSP Karnail Singh, the main objective of this seminar is to make school/college students aware about the ill effects of drugs, following traffic rules and the importance of going towards sports. During this seminar, the school students were made aware that they should protect themselves from anti-social and bad elements who push students on drugs.
Along with this, the students were also told that under Section 199A of the Motor Vehicle Act, if a child below the age of 18 drives a vehicle, then his parents can be imprisoned for 3 years, a fine of up to Rs. 25 thousand and the person who gives a vehicle to a child below the age of 18 can also be imprisoned for 3 years or fined.
He informed the students about the Scheme for Grant of Award to the Good Samaritan run by the government and told that if any person helps a person who has met with an accident, then he will be given Rs. 2000 by the government (under the Ferishte Scheme).
The Principal and other staff of "Learning Paths School Sector-67", SAS Nagar thanked the Traffic Police for organizing the awareness seminar. The Deputy Captain of Police Traffic finally motivated all the students to go towards sports. Apart from this, all the students were advised to inform their family members about the knowledge gained from this seminar and also to make their family members aware about not driving under the influence of alcohol and at high speed and to motivate them to follow traffic rules.
