Una, July 29- Himachal government's Indira Gandhi Sukh Suraksha Yojana has come as a strong security cover for the daughters of BPL families. The state government has started this scheme for daughters born in BPL families. Under the scheme, an amount of Rs 25,000 will be deposited in the insurance company on the birth of a daughter. This benefit will be available for up to 2 girls. At the same time, the parents of the daughter will also be given a life insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh per parent.

Daughters will be able to withdraw the amount deposited in their name as per their wish between the age of 18 years to 27 years and can use it for higher education, self-employment or any plan for their future.

Along with securing the future of daughters with this scheme, it will also make the Beti Hai Anmol scheme more strong.

With this thinking, Indira Gandhi Sukh Suraksha Yojana has been started, which further strengthens the Beti Hai Anmol Yojana and assures economic and social security to daughters from birth till they become self-reliant.
